Locations About Us Parents Programs Home

Susan Jensen was quoted on CNN:
"I see fifteen-month olds who do things like spit into their parents' faces, and the parents laugh,"
says Susan Jensen, a mom of two and director of Children's Nook preschool, in North Charleston,
South Carolina. This will not do. Compassion requires that your child respect others,
including you. Gently but firmly, say "No, you may not spit!"

Our Philosophy
Our philosophy at the Children's Nook Daycare and Preschool is to support parents in their need for safe, nurturing care of their children, and in doing so, to provide a program that fosters each child's development to its fullest potential. Emphasis is placed, therefore, on a safe, healthy, and caring atmosphere created by a team of teachers knowledgeable through both experience and education in the development of young children.

What Parents Sayparent comments
The teachers are experienced, the classrooms are big and the kids are happy. There is a great balance of play time and education as well as the children learning how to interact with peers, handle frustration and how to respect others. The security and care they provide lets me leave knowing my child is happy and safe. "
